Helping Out
|
Envirowiki is run on Mediawiki, which is the software that Wikipedia runs on, so most things are the same as there.
Unfortunately envirowiki is currently very australocentric, because it started in Newcastle, Australia. YOU can help fix that, by posting stuff about your campaigns in your area. the more the merrier!
[edit] Don't know where to start?
If you want to add stuff to envirowiki, but don't know what to add, check out these pages -
- the Node system is a good place to start for finding information on a particular subject. Each subject's node should include a few pages that need to be written.
- Special:Wantedpages - pages that are most linked too, but don't exist. Creating them will reduce red links
- Special:Lonelypages - pages that aren't linked from anywhere, help find related pages, or pages that refer to these and link them up!
- Special:Uncategorizedpages - pages that need to be categorised.
- Special:Shortpages, Category:Stubs or Category:Stubs by length - pages that need to be expanded, because they are too small!
You can also go to Special:SpecialPages to see the full list of special pages.
[edit] How should this place operate?
It would be good to have some democratic input. If you want to help out, by coding, or giving suggestions, go straight to Envirowiki:Policy (less scary than it sounds).
