Indigenous people

Indigenous people are the native inhabitants of a region. These include Indigenous Australians, the Inuit in Canada, the Sami in Scandinavia, and thousands of other groups, nations, and tribes all over the world.
Some areas have had many indigenous societies over thouands of years. In his book "Collapse: How Societies Choose to Fail or Survive" Jared Diamond identifies about 6 separate previous societies in areas of canada now inhabited by the Inuit, including the Dorset people.
