Ross Garnaut is the author of the soon-to-be-released
Garnaut Review. He is a Professor of
Economics at ANU
[1], and Chairman of the board of directors of
Lihir Gold Ltd.
[2], a company known to dump
cyanide contaminated mine tailings directly into the
ocean[3]. One might ask exactly how good an environmnetal outcome the Garnaut report might have considering Garnaut's apparent disregard for
Papua New Guinea's environment.
