Wind power
From Envirowiki
Wind power is a type of electricity generation, which uses a rotor and turbine to convert the kinetic energy in wind to electricity. Wind power is ultimately a form or solar power (through heat and convection).
Wind power is one of the oldest and most technologically mature forms of renewable energy, having been in use for thousands of year, albeit not for electricity generation, but for things like grain grinding, and water pumping.
World wide, wind is also one of the most used forms of renewable energy. While it only accounts for a small fraction of global electricity generation, some countries, such as Denmark, and Spain get around 20% of their power from wind.
